- Account information such as your email address, user ID and session metadata.
- Financial records you add in the app, including income, expenses, invoices, mileage entries and receipt-related metadata.
- HMRC connection data if you choose to use relevant tax filing features.
- Diagnostics or crash information where enabled to maintain stability and support.
3. How we use data
- To provide the product features you request, including tracking, calculations, reports and receipt storage.
- To store and sync records securely across your account.
- To support HMRC filing actions initiated by you.
- To maintain service security, investigate issues and provide customer support.
4. Lawful basis
We process personal data using lawful bases under UK GDPR, including contract performance, legitimate interests, and consent where consent is required for a specific feature.
5. Sharing and processors
We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with processors or service providers required to run QuikTax, and with HMRC where you have explicitly chosen to use a connected tax feature.
6. Retention
We keep account and financial records while your account remains active, and for as long as needed to meet legal, security or accounting obligations. You can request deletion of your account and stored data where applicable.
7. Your rights
You may be entitled to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your data, depending on the circumstances. Contact us and we’ll handle the request in line with applicable law.
8. Security
We use technical and organisational controls such as encrypted transport, authentication controls and database access restrictions. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we design QuikTax to treat your data with appropriate care.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
