Good questions.
Straight answers.
Can I use QuikTax for free?
Yes. Income, expenses, receipt scanning, mileage tracking and tax estimates are available without a Pro subscription. Invoices, reports and CSV exports are Pro features.
Is QuikTax a website or an iPhone app?
QuikTax is an iPhone app. This website helps you explore the product and try a planning calculator. It is not a web bookkeeping dashboard.
Are tax estimates the same as my HMRC balance?
No. Estimates depend on the information you enter and the supported rules. Your HMRC account can also include payments on account, earlier balances and adjustments. Check your actual position with HMRC or your accountant.
Can I use it alongside my PAYE job?
The web calculator lets you include taxable employment income and actual PAYE income tax deducted. It separates the extra tax on business profit from the overall Self Assessment estimate. Employee National Insurance is not PAYE income tax.
How do Pro subscriptions work?
QuikTax Pro is £4.99 per month or £39.99 per year in the UK. Purchases and renewals are handled by Apple. Manage or cancel in your Apple subscription settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Can QuikTax file my tax return with HMRC?
Do not rely on QuikTax for live HMRC filing. Production filing is not advertised as available. Use the app to organise records and estimates, and use HMRC’s official service or professional advice for your return.
